It’s another round with the Fun Felt App for the iPad. I’ve always liked the shape and colors in Buzz’s feet. I also like his shoulders and elbows… but that’s another post I’m sure.

No, this isn’t my first papercraft Buzz Lightyear… but it is the first one I’ve ever completed! Found this at Anime Paper Toys and it’s a lot simpler and would have been a much better starting point.

The other day I did a Fat Buzz… so I figured it was time to see the opposite. I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.
This Buzz says, “On my planet we don’t encourage dieting… but we’re not on my planet… are we?!”
Remember those Yahoo Music commercials from a few years ago that used those pixelized representations of musicians? They’re called Minipops and were created by Craig Robinson over at FlipFlopFlyin’.
This Buzz was not created by Mr. Robinson… but it was done in the Minipop style. Buzz is only 21 pixels high… but he’s been enlarged for your viewing pleasure.
Today’s Buzz says, “I’m a sad strange little man.”
I asked my 6 year-old daughter, Jenna, to draw me a Buzz Lightyear. Even though it is simplistic and in the style of a typical child… I love the details she still managed to work in. Five fingers, three buttons on one side, the red button and nameplate on the other… good work!

Today you get to see the bone structure I figure must be holding up that iconic face. I should get this printed on a T-shirt.

Hey, they can’t all be winners! I made this with my nephew’s Crayola Glow Station that he got for Christmas. He’d already lost the pen that makes the sheet of reactive vinyl glow, so I used the UV light from my Sonic Screwdriver… a little Christmas present of my own! I had to draw it very quickly because it started fading almost immediately.
This Buzz says, “You forgot my eyebrows and chin dimple doofus!”
I meant to have this done by now… but this papercraft project turned out to be a lot more labor intensive than I thought. Each finger had to be individually folded and pasted for example. Watch this space for the completed project coming soon.
This Buzz says, “I look like Marie Antoinette and her sister at a tea party”.
I got a Targus stylus at Best Buy last night. I’d been wanting to get one because drawing is impossible with your finger. Not only does your hand block 3/4ths of the screen, you finger drags on the surface. So with my new stylus, here’s what I came up with. Even after SketchBook crashed once and I had to almost start completely over.
