If you search “Minecraft Buzz Lightyear” some of the stuff that comes up was either made by me or copied from slash inspired by something I did. Enjoy all of the found examples below.
Thanks to all of the folks who have immortalized my stuff by doing your own versions! I’m honored.
First up,
Lego Minifig Buzz Pixel Art
From this blog on December 19th, 2010:
“In 2002 I was very into pixel art… and I really wanted a Buzz Lightyear Lego minifig. Alas there wasn’t such a thing until 2010. Here is what I imagined a Buzz Lightyear Minifig would look like.”

Perler Bead Buzz Lightyear
The first person to turn this into Minecraft Art was myself on Jan 17, 2011.
“Today I’ve reused the pattern I made for Perler Bead Buzz but this time I’ve created him in the game, Minecraft. Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. Buzz is 47 blocks tall. That’s about 155 virtual feet tall. This joker is huge.”

I really enjoyed seeing someone else build my Buzz so I made a comment on the video. It didn’t go very well.
To be fair, I probably should have added a 🙂 to the end of my comment.

I can’t hear the audio on this vid… but I’m still honored to see someone build my Buzz.
Some folks make the Perler Bead version.
Crazyae86 posted this on Deviant Art.
I found this one on Friendship-Bracelets.net as a pattern. Couldn’t find where it was linked to on the site. Hope they aren’t selling it.
I found a lady name Eleka Peka on Tumblr and instagram using my Buzz as her own creation. She takes commissions… so I can only assume she’s selling my design.
What’s a bit funny about people using this Buzz for profit is that it’s not even done the way I would have wanted. Notice how the elbows on each side are cropped and flat? That’s because of the limit of a Perler Bead tray. I only had two trays at the time and so although I could make it pretty high, I was limited to 28 or so beads on the width. You can see on the image above the beader moved the design over one peg and ended up needing to add a 3rd tray to handle the elbow and foot.
My First Buzz Lightyear Skin
Buzz Lightyear Skin App by Ryan John
Homeboy Ryan is charging folks 99 cents using my skin as the draw. I should probably ask for some cash.
Was nice of him to ask if he could use it. </sarcasm>
So if you’re out there using my stuff I’m honored. If you’re out there selling my stuff… I’m annoyed.
If you’re just reading… feel honored and annoyed with me. Thanks.
